Frequently asked questions and answers
What should my child bring to camp?
- Water bottle
- hat
- sunscreen
- swimsuit and towel
- close-toed shoes for use during activities
- optional: a change of clothes, your child's personal bike
- equipment (will be stored in a locked shed and only be available to your child
For overnight camp, please bring the following as well:
- enough clothes and pajamas for the week (laundry services will not be available except for soiled bedding)
- long pants and long sleeved shirt for campfires
- sleeping bag and pillow
- toiletries including toothbrush &toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner, bodywash, hairbrush, personal hygiene products
- Bible and notebook (if they have one)
- optional: bug spray, flashlight, stuffed animal, formal change of clothes for potential formal dinner theme,
What does a normal camp day look like?
The following is a day camp sample
- 7:00/7:30 - wake up and get ready for the day
- 7:45- day camp arrival and park free time
- 8:00- breakfast
- 8:30- morning game
- 9:00 chapel time Includes singing, a story, quizzes, drama
- 10:15 snack time
- 10:30- games
- 11:00 pool time
- 12:00-lunch
- 1:00 - rest time
- 2:00- rotations (see activities section below for more details)
- 4:00- pool time
- 5:00-day camper pickup, supper theme prep
- 5:30- supper
- 6:15- big game
- 7:15- story time
- 8:30 in cabins wind down for the night, snack
- 9:00/9:30- lights out
What activities are there?
In addition to camp wide games and pool time, during rotation time in the afternoon your child will have the opportunity to participate in any of the following activities:
- canoeing
- archery
- rock wall climbing
- biking
- sports
- arts and crafts
- rec room time
What do the dorms look like?
Both floors in the dorms have 6 bedrooms equipped with 4 bunk beds, cubbies to store belongings, a ceiling fan and outlets. On each end of the floor there is a bathroom with 2-3 toilets and 1-2 showers each.
Can my child do laundry at camp?
We do not offer laundry services for your child with the exception of bedding
