The Tower

History

The Tower is inspired by a training tower in Big Sandy, Texas where several of our staff had had the opportunity to train in high-angle rescue, rappelling and climbing.

About the Tower

Specs:

40' tall

12' wide

16' long

35' multi-challenge climbing wall

30' four-run rappelling wall

20' twin-run junior rappelling wall

250' zip line across the North River from Ile aux Chats to Robinson Island

Goal

The goal of the tower to provide a unique recreational center that will bring people from all over Quebec to Camp des Iles where they can learn learn of the love of Jesus. The Tower also has the potential to be used by community services such as firefighter and police teams for training purposes.

How you can help

-Financial

We are raising $25,000 for the construction of the Tower and the various elements. You can contribute online by following this link. By mail, please send a check made out to Camp des Iles to our address: 2521, rue du Pont, St-André-d'Argenteuil, QC J0V 1X0. Whether online or by check, please mention "Tower" in the memo or notes section.

-Material

We are looking for sponsors for the lumber and hardware. If you are interested in sponsoring some of the material or have a contact that would be interested, please let us know.

-Volunteer

We are also looking for teams of volunteers to help with various stages of construction. Work will begin in September 2017. If you could help, please let us know your availability.
